This isn’t the prettiest of meals, but let’s not hold that against it. This is slightly poshed up turkey kiev and chips. And it was ace. You get to coat stuff in breadcrumbs! Does that make anyone else feel a bit clever? No? Oh. Continue Reading »

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking you won’t like this because mustard is gross. Really, really gross. Seriously, who likes mustard? Definitely not me. I like this pasta though. A lot. And I’m sure you will like this pasta enough to point out something on the tv to whoever you’re eating with and then steal bits off their plate (do you ever eat something too quickly and then you’re jealous that other people still have food left? Sucks.). Continue Reading »

Oh, Nigella, is there anything you can’t do? Probably. Probably many things, in fact. Like flying, and opening one of those yoghurts with the foil lids without forgetting to point it away from you so you don’t get yoghurt all over yourself. But anyway, I don’t care, because you introduced me to these ridiculously yummy naan bread pizzas. Continue Reading »

After coming back from my holiday not quite looking like Kelly Brook (because of eating things like this), I decided I needed to get fitter. My friend Emma, who is a lot fitter than me, kindly offered to go running with me twice a week before work. This means getting up at 6am (urgh) to run three miles (urgh). Horrible. So, to make it more bearable, we agreed that we would take it in turns to bring muffins in for a post-run reward. I know this may sound counter-productive, but you try running before most sane people get up. Continue Reading »

My sister, Kim, graduated from university last month (with a 2:1 in History and Computer Science *proud*) and so we decided to have a graduation celebration this weekend. Our family typically likes to celebrate everything by making loads of food 😀 so Kim chose curry and cupcakes (which you can see here). Continue Reading »

Meatballs have always been one of our favourite meals (doesn’t everyone love meatballs?), and I’ve made lots of different versions. Plain beef, turkey and mozzarella, pork and mushroom. All sorts! I’m not even sure which are my favourites. But these are Chris’s current favourites and are often requested when I ask him what he wants for tea. Continue Reading »

If you looked at all the cookbooks I have, you’d probably come to the conclusion that Gordon Ramsay is my favourite chef. I have six of his cookbooks, which is the most I have of any other cookery book author. But I’ve never made anything from any of them! Eep. Continue Reading »

I wasn’t expecting much from this at all. In fact, when I remembered that this was what I’d planned for tea, I was a bit disappointed. But I shouldn’t have been, it was really, really good! Continue Reading »
