I cannot believe that, given how much pasta I eat, the last time I posted a pasta recipe was in October. That is madness! Utter madness. It is my favourite food and if I could only eat pasta forever I’d… well, I’d cry, because pasta isn’t cake, but it’d definitely be near the top of my “foods I wouldn’t mind eating forever whilst not being allowed to eat anything else, once I’d got used to not being allowed cake” list. Yes, the titles of my lists are always that snappy. Yes, I make many lists. Be quiet now. This is on my most favouritest pastas list

As I love to add courgette to EVERYTHING, I was excited when I saw a recipe for Courgette carbonara a couple of years ago in Jamie at Home by Jamie Oliver. I copied out the recipe and I’ve made it often ever since. Except that I haven’t, really. I’ve changed it every time until it’s morphed into something which doesn’t really resemble Jamie Oliver’s recipe at all, other than the fact that it has courgette in it. So I’m claiming it as my own. Is that too cheeky? (more…)

A few days ago I saw this recipe and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I’ll admit, I’ve never actually heard of chicken spaghetti and I have no idea what Velveeta is, but cheese, chicken and mushrooms sounds good to me. (more…)

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking you won’t like this because mustard is gross. Really, really gross. Seriously, who likes mustard? Definitely not me. I like this pasta though. A lot. And I’m sure you will like this pasta enough to point out something on the tv to whoever you’re eating with and then steal bits off their plate (do you ever eat something too quickly and then you’re jealous that other people still have food left? Sucks.). (more…)

After coming back from my holiday not quite looking like Kelly Brook (because of eating things like this), I decided I needed to get fitter. My friend Emma, who is a lot fitter than me, kindly offered to go running with me twice a week before work. This means getting up at 6am (urgh) to run three miles (urgh). Horrible. So, to make it more bearable, we agreed that we would take it in turns to bring muffins in for a post-run reward. I know this may sound counter-productive, but you try running before most sane people get up. (more…)

Today’s post is brought to you from my mum’s kitchen! My mum and I are both big fans of fish and seafood, especially crab, prawns and lobster. Our favourite crab recipe was always Singapore chilli crab, but on one holiday in Cornwall we bought enough crab for two nights and decided to try something new with it. That’s when we came up with this recipe. (more…)
